A series of 130 photos taken mostly by photographers of the American Colony(Jerusalem) Photo Department , between 1917 and 1936
The images are free of copyright.
The images are mostly of Imperial Airways operations in the 1930s from the Sea of Galilee(Flying boats)
and from the airfields at Gaza,Semakh and Lydda(Lod).
There are also some images of the airship LZ127 Graf Zeppelin's visit to Jerusalem in Aperil 1931 .
In addition there are approx two dozen images of military aircraft at Jerusalem,Huj and Amman - mostly from 1917-1925.
Some two dozen of the original negatives have been damaged in the passage of time - this damage shows on the images.
The images are all .jpgs(each approx 120 -160 kbs... approx 1020 x 760) and will open in any image viewing program.
